2023 Apprentice Applications are Now Open!

Dear ASLF Supporter,

Happy New Year!

First, I’d like to say THANK YOU all for your generous donations during our year-end giving campaign, and throughout 2022. We are gearing up for an exciting and busy second year. It would not be possible without your continued support.

The new year offers a fresh opportunity to join hands with ASLF and spread the word about applying to our 2023 apprentice program. Last year we sent 33 amazing and curious young adults to apprentice on 18 farms throughout the country. They came to us from a wide range of places, including Oregon State University, UCLA, and Emma’s Torch, which empowers refugees through culinary training in Brooklyn and Washington DC. This year, with 40 farms already signed on to be hosts, we will have more than 60 apprentice slots to fill! Stay tuned, new farms will be added to the website in the next few days.

Help us find these future changemakers and provide them with a once in a lifetime experience that will inform the way they view the world—with an eye toward equity, sustainability, and the value of hard work.
